Sara Kove leski Kraut, PT, DPT, nCS

Owner, Physical Therapist
Board-Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist
Sara received her B.A. in Spanish from the University of Iowa and her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science/The Chicago Medical School. She is the owner, founder, and director of Advanced Physical Therapy & Health Services (APTHS). She is a board-certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS).  She joined the faculty of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine & Science in 2015 with an emphasis on clinical neuroscience. She currently specializes in the evaluation and treatment of neurological, orthopedic, and vestibular conditions, and has attended multiple continuing education courses in these areas.  Sara successfully completed the APTA Vestibular Rehabilitation Competency-Based Course chaired by Susan Herdman. She is also a certified Clinical Instructor through the APTA. Sara travels nationally for North American Seminars providing continuing education courses to other physical and occupational therapists, specifically for Pilates in Rehabilitation and the Evaluation and Treatment of Parkinson's Disease. She is a certified Pilates Instructor and received her Pilates training through From The Center Pilates Studio in Chicago with Patrick O'Brien. Sara is also an AFAA-certified Group Exercise Instructor and an ACE-certified Personal Trainer. She is a sports enthusiast and an avid runner, having run several marathons. Sara is also fluent in Spanish.  In her spare time, she enjoys having fun with her husband and 3 children.

John received his Bachelor of Physical Therapy degree in 2008 from Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, Scotland. He then completed a Master's degree in Clinical Neuroscience from King's College London.  John has worked in a variety of clinical settings including geriatric, stroke, respiratory, post-surgical, orthopedics, and workers compensation.  John has also published clinical research in the clinical areas of post-stroke fatigue and low back pain.  John is always keen to learn new physical therapy techniques to help his patients - he is recently certified in Dry Needling.  John is a strong advocate for his patients and always strives to not only rehabilitate the condition for which his patients are attending PT, but identify the source of the issue and give guidance on long-term management of the condition.  John has lived in Chicago since 2013. 






Cassandra Nelson, pt, DPT

Physical Therapist


Cassie graduated from Augustana College in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and minors in Sociology and Spanish. She went on to attend Rosalind Franklin University where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2016. In her academic career, Cassie has discovered interests in manual therapy techniques, sports medicine, aquatic physical therapy, and promoting health and fitness to members of the community. She endeavors to individualize her intervention strategies to best fit the unique goals of her patients by remaining up to date on evolving therapy methods and constructing effective and energetic treatment sessions. In her spare time, she enjoys reading fantasy/science fiction novels and improving her skills as a runner.




Jennifer Marques, pt, MPT

Physical Therapist
Jennifer graduated from University of Notre Dame in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts and Letters degree in Economics.  After working in the investment industry, she made a career change to physical therapy and graduated from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine with a Master of Physical Therapy degres in 1999.  Jennifer has worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient, acute care, physician's office, and home health care treating mainly adults and adolescents with oprthopedic, neurologic, and general medical diagnoses.  She has also taken additional continuing education courses focusing on Women's Health issues and has worked with individuals with incontinence, pelvic pain, post-breast cancer rehabilitation, and pre- and post-partum dysfunction.  Jennifer and her husband have 4 active children.  Her interests include spending time with her family, running, cooking, and reading.





Kate Marconi, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

Kate received in B.A. from the University of Dayton in Pre-Physical Therapy and received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in June 2017. She has had experience in several clinical settings including outpatient orthopedics, inpatient rehabilitation, and hospital-based outpatient.  She has experience treating with a variety of diagnoses including orthopedic conditions, stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, and vestibular disorders.  Kate is excited to expand her knowledge as a Physical Therapist and is always looking forward to new learning opportunities.  Kate is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and has lived in Chicago since 2014.  In her spare time, she enjoys running, cooking, and exploring the city.

Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist
Our massage therapist, Laura, has been practicing massage therapy since 2005. She graduated as class salutatorian and then obtained both her Illinois State and National license. Since that time, she has also maintained active membership with the AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association). She joined our team in 2011 and splits her time between here and the Five Seasons Sports Club in Northbrook where she has worked since 2007. Her specialty is in Myofascial Trigger Point Therapy, where she has advanced training and experience. She has completed more than 87 hours of continuing education in that area alone, as well as 2 plus years working alongside the leading Trigger Point therapists and educators in Chicago. Laura also has experience working in a variety of settings - a fully integrated chiropractic & functional medicine rehabilitation clinic, salon & spa, health club, corporations, and educational workshops - all of which combined allow her to accommodate a diverse people and conditions. Her passion is in rehabilitative massage and believes that massage is a powerful tool in helping people not only to relax, but also eliminate pain and restore function. She also enjoys taking classes in a variety of areas to keep her up to date on the latest research and techniques in the massage therapy field.








Michelle Fogel

Michelle is currently getting her bachelor’s in Kinesiology and later hopes to go on to Physical Therapy school. In her free time she enjoys volunteering at Heartland animal shelter and playing water polo. Michelle is also fluent in Russian.

Heidi has a business management background where she worked in the field for over 25 years. She enjoys volunteering and helping the community where she has worked on many projects at her children’s schools and local organizations. Prior to moving to Park Ridge, she lived in San Diego. She also had the opportunity with her husband’s job to live in Hong Kong for a few years. Heidi and her husband have two children and a lab named Molly.
